Ugly faces sneer

Ugly faces here

They hold no real meaning

They have no redeeming

They hold no knowledge

Found outside college

Or inside school, for that matter

Put all they know on a platter

Those words are nothing

But you are something

They can’t do anything real

Words like that aren’t a meal

Those words to you are slim as a model’s waist

So don’t you bother to answer them in haste

Words can’t hurt girls like you

Until ducks start to moo

You are stronger than your fears

So much better than their sneers

Weak opinions don’t win races

Or take you to nice places

Insults don’t make the victim ugly

Or keep the bully sleeping snugly

They can’t change who you are

Or make you miss the bar

Only you can dictate who you become

They can not change where you are coming from

You make something great of yourself

And they sit, trophies on a shelf

Time flies by and gets away from them

You harness it and make it your gem

Ugly things don’t stay for long

Ugly things don’t hurt the strong

Ugly hearts always end up breaking

Your heart doesn’t need no shaking

Don’t listen to what they say

Ugly is wrong anyway
