She was famous for her face-

Bright, wide eyes

And a broad smile, so excited

But the ground swallowed her up

And what happened… they all asked

What possibly could have happened?

They could wonder all they wanted

But she was never going to open up-

They’d never see what she remembered

Because she saw faces and finally understood

That bad things happen because people do bad things

So when she rose again- people also do brave things, she learned

She left her armor up to those who’d hurt her

Through a blaze of summer sweetness I rose

Through a blaze of winter ice storms I fell

And through my own dream I rose again

The words are painted on her castle walls

For her to see and everyone else to learn soon enough

The angel rose again

But she was unrecognizable

And shock waves followed her steps

For when she rose- her face changed

She was a princess crowned the queen

And was never the same

Locked away with only those who loved her

Every step of the way

The angel rose again. And she kept rising.
