Reminiscing is all fun and games

Until memory lane is a real place

And there are things it could never tell you

Cause there are things you could never tell it

The graveyard you run from rises there

To greet you from all sides

And lo and behold the church spires stand

Still tall in the distance on memory lane

The doors you closed, bridges burned,

The brides left stranded… still standing

On memory lane.

It will never meet your gaze, nor you meet its

But with or without your approval when you visit

The pavement of the past stretches miles.

Ungroomed, unrefined, and lying in truth

Questions tumbling from the trees

Never let autumn bleed into winter

For they litter the street, undying each day

On memory lane.
