Listen to the Call

A Journey To Elsewhere and Back

I was laying in bed

That flat feeling

Not quite floating

But just surreal enough

To be the closest we get

That between state

Neither in nor out

Just in the other plane

I don’t know

I heard a whisper

Coming from the trees

I turned my head to the window

And the noise came to me

For a second time

Not my name, name of my loss

But I floated to the window

I had to answer the call

The fall came then- not my name

But still a person inside me

So now I realize

The ones we lose

Never really leave us

I know thanks to my trip

To the other plane

They live on

Because we carry them with us

Whether we answer

The calls or not

I always knew she wanted for me

To tell her story someday

But it had to come for her

So she had to come with me

I carry lost souls with me now
