A Poem Built With Advice I Once Received On Finding Joy

You always have to be happy in life

Because every day is only worthwhile for its happiness measure

Sometimes the things most important to be happy about won’t come to you

You have to search and find them

But once you’ve found them they’ll stay with you your whole life through

Even at the loneliest parties where the music is so loud you can’t possibly converse or even think

It will be there with you

What do you think of that? Regardless, thanks for reading. I don’t have much to say about this because it doesn’t feel as personal as some of my other poems or tell a story like still other poetry of mine. (Examples being “Pretty Eyes” and “Cicada”.)
