Evils Collide

One Shall Stand One Shall Fall

I am not the monster you think I am

I am the monster you wished I was

Once upon a time,

We belonged to each other

Back then I was a hero

Dying for the villain

But this now and now is new

I’m coming back to you

And when I get there

I won’t be the hero of this story

I will arrive so violently

That you regret ever wishing

For me to be a monster for you

When I’m back on shore

You will realize you never

Should have made me your castaway

Because now there’s the monster you are

And the monster you wished I would be

One shall stand, one shall fall.

It’s a long, long way down

To that place you rose up from

And don’t you realize, it’s like you said-

Darkness cannot be beaten,

Evil cannot be stopped

You of all people ought to know

What evils are inevitable

And when evils collide

One shall stand and one shall fall.
