You were looking at me intently

As we were talking

You reached your hand across the table

As we were talking

You stretched your legs to meet mine

As we were talking

On the car ride home

It felt so different

And it occurred to me

You could hold my hand

If you wanted to

And I know as I’m laying in bed

That I had a really great time

Thanks to you

And that God works in mysterious ways

He really does,

I wonder if we do too.
